This session provides an overview of the revised evaluation and management criteria, including the medical decision-making tables. In addition, this session provides an overview of codes beyond the usual nursing home set and how they may be appropriate for your practice.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of the selection of level of service for PALTC services by either total time of the encounter or medical decision making.
- Review the medical decision making tables in CPT to use when selecting a level of service.
- Integrate prolonged service codes and other relevant services into practice.
- Understand the intersection between nursing facility regulations and appropriate services and coding.
